O'Brien would have been a better name, at least it's a real name. Or pick one of many other constellation names to keep it "stellar".
I'm confident that the name selection is specifically copied so that the speaker shows up in more search results, when people are actually looking for Linkwitz speakers for example. I'm really quite surprised that they changed it, and in such a silly way.

That sure must be some premo MDF they're using!
Funny how they killed off the CX150, but now it pops up again only in this kit.
Nothing fancy here!
Expressed gas of course!
All Dayton parts of course.

Well I had to check that out, PE selling Linkwitz Orion's for that price? Oooooo, yeah, not Orion's....🙄
Yeah, they have a habit of stealing names for speakers.
I want to order a pair of these!
But my frugal side can't bear flushing $40 down the toilet.

The HiVi ones are terrible imo
These just look like a bad design.
I tested a pair of those Chinese top mount tweeters. Just stay away.
I wonder how low the impedance drops between the woofer and midrange overlap?
Wonder no more.
Not so bad
Who do you think designed the PE Orion?
Chris Perez.

Here are some Orion speakers for $113K a pair.
Orian. Name change

Ooooh, some lawyers weighed in.
That's an even stupider name. Reminds me of flea market car audio names. Come on PE, grow up.

I liked your last post on that PE Orion thread.
Instead of Orian they could have renamed it The Onion lol
The more I think about it, the stupider it gets.

1st world "problem". If that.
I'm going to name all my future speakers after their product line, but with a hilarious and blatant typo to avoid Stahl being a dick.
Currently, I am calling all of those SB speakers I've been working on "Team Epikue".
Next budget build I do will be called "The Esotarics"
Referendum series or De-signer series.
I called dibs on the "Ultimacs"
I call dibs on "Kracken" for my next powered sub.
