I have some strange idea about using them together on a 5/8" all-thread rod with a wooden base and lamps w/shades above them (Dual purpose/space conservation) . . .
I just saw this on FB Marketplace for $20. It's a W6-1139SIF. Seller says to just burn the box and build a new one. I really don't need one, but for $20....?
The real challenge would be to fill all of the holes in that box with either drivers or ports and have it sound good. It looks like there is a pretty decent collection of crossover parts in that box too. I will have to come get it for $20 (plus the extra bottles of wine I will have to bribe my wife with) if you don't take it.
Keep an open mind, but don't let your brain fall out.
I just messaged them. Yeah - I saw those parts inside too. Those coils & caps alone might be worth >$20. I'm thinking about just cutting the top portion off the box and then squaring it up with a flush trim bit on the router table.
That's too bad, that was a steal at that price. I never see stuff like that here, one time I did see a pair of GRS poly 6.5" used that the guy wanted $30 friggen bucks for.
Haven't posted anything there in a long time and looks like my account has to be reactivated. Won't let me post or pm. Depending on the price, I'd be in for 2, maybe more.

But the surround... I mean I know it is there for a reason, but damn... bleh
I've looked at them too...

Wife will shoot me if I buy a pair of those Purifi. So, no go for me.
Any feedback on the Fountek NeoCd3.5H Horn Tweeter (Ribbon)???
This thing has my attention at that price --> https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/ribbon-tweeters/fountek-neocd3.5h-horn-tweeter/
I have a pair I'm wanting to use someday.
Looks best naked according to this guy --> https://ampslab-spk.com/2021/02/25/fountek-cd35h/
I almost pulled the trigger on the 7" Accuton, but they would just sit on the shelf for years before I got around to using them
Thanks! I just got a pair of those used, and every tip helps.
Me too. Low distortion from 3.5k up
I really like the sound quality from my NeoCd 3.0 tweeters.
I grabbed a pair of Fountek NeoCd3.5H and then went and grabbed a pair of these to go with them --> https://www.parts-express.com/Dayton-Audio-RS52AN-8-2-Reference-Aluminum-Dome-Midrange-285-020?quantity=1

I have managed to resist so far - but did pick up a pair of SB12CAC's. Those should make some nice desktop speakers.

I see most of the knock down cabinet kits at PE are being clearanced out. Though it doesn't seem the prices really changed.
That is a bummer...

I seen that last night. Did stahl buy his own wood shop.? The new Material X Dayton MDF.😆

He's probably been hitting up every Menards to stock up on shelving material.
And rebranding them something like "pure Zenotronic" cabinets

He sold it earlier today - drat!

I never see/find good deals here either... but people keep gifting me with huge drivers and Sansui speakers from the 60's and 70's

I'm looking over the data sheets. Is there a jumper anywhere to convert from BTL to SE mode? Or are they stuck in BTL mode?
The 20-40W would probably work well for mids & tweets.

Looks like you need to invert phase to one channel, then it can be used in BTL, otherwise it's a two channel board.
Wattage is a bit lower at 120V input.
The 50ASX2BTL (mono with balanced input -> these) and the 50ASX2SE (stereo with single ended input) are different boards. The BTL is missing the second speaker out header amongst other things.
Some have claimed to have converted the SE to BTL: https://theslowdiyer.wordpress.com/2016/12/05/icepower-50asx-se-to-btl-conversion/
