I know this has been mentioned, but it bears repeating. The Peerless BC25TG tweeter is only $18 at Madisound currently. It is an excellent budget dome that can cross reasonably low (I have used it as low as 1800) and a pretty linear response.

I've never used the Dayton Silkie, but the BC25 seemed to be possible step up from those.
Never used the Silkie, kept hearing criticisms of it's sound quality.
Used the BC25SC in several builds. Nothing to write home about, but satisfying for the price.
But Chahly - Stahkist don't want speakers that look good, Stahkist wants speakers that sound good!
ICEpower 400SM and 80AM2
This is a bit of a risk as they are untested, but you can put together a multi-channel amp on the cheap ~ $70 for 8 channels plus cabling and cabling or make your own. I already had some 80AM2 on hand and have been looking for the 400SM. Datasheet
8x midrange cups for ~$3.36 shipped free to store? 2 sizes that stack so could hollow out the larger end and glue together for a larger cup, or try multi-chamber shenanigans. Cheapest I could find over on aliexpress was ~$18 shipped for the identical set.
Those look more versatile than the Walmart Mainstays brand risers I have awaiting use.
The Menards version can likely be used 3 different ways. Separate, as pictured stacked, or reversed with larger over smaller. My estimate on mine is about 2-3 ltrs, but these look bigger.
Reverse stacked with hole in base of smaller unit and foam compressed between them would likely work very well as double aperiodic sealed.
...as long as there is some volume remaining. Anything from equal-volumes to 2/3-1/3 is usually acceptable, and port through open cell foam. Stuff front, line rear.

I have no experience with the brand but reviews are good. I picked up the 750.1 - not that I NEEDED it. 😉
ESS has the Heil's for $250 pr again.

i might have to guess on what parts likely need for upcoming crossover to capitalize on that deal
Pretty common value for tweeters.

The local Woodsmith store has Baltic birch again and it's 10% off. The biggest piece they sell is 12x24 and it's pricey compared to the good old days.

So sad that we'll be losing that tweeter when they are all gone.
I've never used those. I might buy a pair before they go NLA forever

I ordered a pair, figure I'll use them next time someone wants me to build them a cheap pair.

I have used the silkie and it sounds fine with very wide dispersion.
Many moons ago I used the silkie paired with the DS135's. They weren't bad. I'm thinking that Peerless is a small step up.

This guy still has some of the TI 30uF caps for sale, here is 60 of them for $90:

I've used lots of them over the years, great for making large value notch filters.

Much smaller, but I suppose still more volume than a sealed back mid if you can get the magnet to fit.
Figure furniture risers meant to hold people weight probably have a bit more strength built into them than food containers.
