To be honest, on paper anyways, the new KB line from MCM will be competitive with a lot of more expensive stuff. Long throw, copper in the motor, nice paper cone.
Or go whole hog and grab a quad of those BC that Pete used.
I think they would make a wonderful match and have enough in the 200-500 range to not sound dis-jointed with a hard-dome tweeter and a known performer of a mid. Oh, they will dig deep, too and you will not need 3 cubes to do it. IMHO/YMMV
That 8BG51 is a great woofer. Two of them in parallel might be OK for the Vifa NE149 4 Ohm. Even a pair of the SB might be more than the 8 Ohm Vifa could keep up with.
I've got extra 47 liter boxes built for a RS225 MLTL, then like you decided I wanted something different. My different is two DCS165-4, F3 below 30 sensitivity about 90 dB.
If the box was a bit bigger, 3 of the DCS165-4 in series had a cool factor.
