For the price of 10 you could buy a tweeter that is a known good performer.
Had been wanting to experiment with Tekton style tweeter array. A $5 low FS tweet seemed like a good candidate to learn on. Would really only need 6 if I were to follow through and make a pair.
The Tekton build still turns out to a three way? The center tweeter takes the high, the surrounding ones do the upper mids and the mids and lows are taken up by the woofer? What happens to comb filtering I do not know - haven;t tried any arrays yet
Oh crap. You guys are not good for my bank account.
Drew's, if that Tekton idea floats your boat go for it. To me it is a bad idea compared to a good mid with tight ctc spacing. All things are a compromise, I just don't like that set of compromises.

Friendly reminder. It's been a month and the Menards unfinished shelving boards are still half off ($3.99)
Thanks, I just picked up 6 to hopefully last me the year.
Also, grabbed two of these for a DeWalt Garage Speaker build...there are two left at Meniscus, on sale + the May20 discount puts them at $23.20 a piece. That's a lot of quality speaker for $23.
For those of you close Meniscus is selling cabinets in-person on Saturday as part of spring cleaning. Email says more to be added https://meniscusaudio.com/cabinets/

Ha, you beat me to it. I had just typed up a post.
I work 2 miles from Meniscus and I will be at Parts Express Speaker Design Comptetition (August, Dayton, OH), CSS/Mensicus Event (September, Grand Rapids, MI) and Iowa DIY (October (usually), somewehre in IA). If anyone is intersted in these but not able to pick them up locally, I would be willing to bring them to you (within reason, I probably can't fit too many of them in my vehicle).
Seems well behaved by their graphs and decently high breakup peak for the size. Used the same sexy cast frame as peerless. Vented both the former and pole piece. Bracing for sticker shock.

Thanks, I would have never seen that!!
Meniscus are the only ones I’ve ever seen at any DIY events so they get my business.

Those are pretty basic ones. Depending on what you want to use them for, they come in all sorts of useful sizes/configurations.

I picked up a few today. Most of it at my Menards is actually 3/4" instead of 5/8".
Ugh, a 3/4" 4x8' sheet of MDF is $56 here now. If it came to it, I'd rather just spend the extra $14 and get their C grade birch ply instead.

⬆️ jealous of Iowa homies!
I wish they were closer. They are over an hour away in Maquoketa and only open M-F 9am-5pm.
Cool caves there!

Not any more... I like your idea of a Dewalt themed build.
Not a DOTD, but the first link for the new Dayton Audio Signature Series...

No mention of shorting rings or copper.
If the cones & VC's aren't centered they don't need any of that . . .
I think these are meant to fill the void of Peerless exiting the market.
Wasn't that the case with alot of the peerless drivers too?
