Man! I was driving home for lunch a few months ago and saw a king sized head board at the curb. It looked like solid walnut. I was pinched for time so I planned to grab my wife's van after work and go get it. Sadly it was gone
Nice sealed box woofer. Ad copy claims 5.5mm Xmax.
Here it is modeled in WinISD with all default settings except for 0.5 ohm added resistance. F3 below 35Hz and a 2db ripple centered at 60Hz.
Not bad for $30. Pity about the shiny dustcap, but the ribbed cone gives it a cool old-school Realistic look.
I truly wish I had the room to build a 15" 4-way with this as the anchor. Man, the GRS 6.5" poly, sealed back mid, and any number of little tweeters would be a killer setup for very little money.

I jest ^ but you are correct, sir - I sure don't have room for them either but certainly want to have room for them . . .
If I didn't already have the equivalent of a 12" 4-way I would build one. Currently I have the O'Ryans running on top of the 12" GRS powered subs in my basement space.
It has roughly the equivalent displacement of a 10" with twice the xmax, and less excursion for the same displacement is generally a good thing. Plus BIG woofers just look cool
I had to check out Khruangbin. I hadn't heard of them, and now I'm guzzling my morning coffee with my girlfriend, watching their Tiny Desk live. Love them! Speaker geeks to the rescue! Opening my ears one new track at a time. Super chill and buttery smooth. Thanks! Glenn.
Yeah I went into the deep end with them for a while.
Just blasted this one over lunch. Off the Texas Moon EP, another colab with Leon.
If ya got some speakers with tight punchy bass. That drum kick and the bass guitar texture is some ASMR stuff!
Can get $12 off $100 order over at PE atleast, until the 5th. I like it better when they just do 10% off anything. But I live closer to em so I don't tend to wait for a big order.
Love that Khruangbin stuff ya got queued up there!
Tidal put a cut from that disk on "My Daily Discovery" list today. I captured their performance from Austin City Limits a while back and also downloaded their Tiny Desk Concert. You can find both here:

Lol. Buy one today and one tomorrow $60.. then ?
Usually the Madisound deal off the day where you can add another driver at a discount is a stock of one that has been mounted (but often not even soldered).
Gosh that would be perfect if it just came with a remote. I know it isn't so much an issue in bluetooth mode.
Looking for something affordable I could refer friends to that wouldn't burden them with "quirks".

Oh come on, how about the "Pepe Le Pews"

Make a 12" 4 way, then?
I don't even have room for a proper 12" based speaker, much less a 15".
I think its a helluva 15 for $30.

Cheap 30uF caps:

$3/ea is a good price for a film cap this size. The seller has several other caps available, as well. Not too mention this:

Make some killer speaker cables with that shit.
Also, save serious money and buy 60 of those caps:

Low f3. Not a lot of xmax, but for the price multiples might make a decent IB arrangement.

Done
I'm sure all you guys are trying to control your furvor and not buy the current MDOTW 4" Tang Band full rangers. What a steal, right?
On the positive side, I wouldn't need to add any capacitors or buyout tweeters to hit $100 for free shipping. But, yeah, still going to pass on them.
Maybe back when they were half that price....

LOL I'm pretty sure you've got more space than me..
The wife did kick these out after a month. No wonder why
Though she was OK with the Faux Pas for a while since they would fit better.

Not a deal, but interesting:
https://www.parts-express.com/Dayton-Audio-DTA-100ST-100W-Desktop-Stereo-Amplifier-with-Bluetooth-5.0-300-3807?quantity=1
I have one of the Dayton desktop subwoofer amps, this seems like a perfect complement to that. Might have to scrounge some pennies and buy it.
Ooh even has a high pass filter.
