The 5.25" unit certainly looks interesting. Not crazy about the mouth termination, but it could work. The 4" coax only has a .75" dome with a high FS and isn't as appealing.

Being set back isn't the problem, it's the transition between the cone and dome that may cause an issue. We all know the only way to know for sure...

Just glob it on and protect the outside of the cabinet, shouldn't take more than 1 coat. Also, unless you're looking to kill some low end, I would only line the walls with denim.

An Aura or AE 18 in a sealed 4cf+enclosures would be a good alternative to a monstrous horn. The UM18 could possibly work as well.
