I spoke to Lowell a couple of times by phone the past several months, having noticed his absence from PETT. He had a few health challenges that he had to face, but overcame them courageously. He's doing OK now, and as Chuck noted above, is keeping a…

Ani, I have started using my jig more than DATS due to the same reasons. I'll be doing a direct comparison of both this weekend and report back to all.
And please don't forget to read Charlie Laub's excellent guide on how to generate FRD files for your drivers using the ARTA module. Once you know how to obtain T/S parameters, model your box, generate ZMA and FRD files, cr…

I'm seriously thinking about 2 of these in parallel, mated to a RS28A or a CD and waveguide for singing purposes. SPL of 99 and audiophile SQ? How can you beat that?
It's fine. Get some metal epoxy from Home Depot and glue it back. The inductance value and DCR will remain unchanged if you compared it to your other inductor. I speak from experience.
The more I build and the more I post, the thicker my skin becomes. I used to get rattled big time and feel insecure about the hobby, but no longer. If I make a mistake or post the wrong answer, so be it. Call me out on it. Do I give a fuck? Heck no.…
