I didn't articulate myself very well and a picture is worth a thousand words. I have no idea what the Sept 2005 refers to...your join date for techtalk maybe? I just wanted you to know it got cut off in case you got royalties for your design or some such and you wanted to be aware that some of the documentation was clipped off.
If they're still around right? This is a pretty old post but I never saw sold in there ;) I could be again resurrecting ancient thread inadvertently which apparently I'm getting good at.
Just hit it today for the first time in a while and their website is down. Nslookup still resolves the name but the page itself is down and unpingable. It is also responding on port 80 + 443 so the server is up but the page is down.
I had no idea and this is terrible news. Their capacitor prices there are stellar and the USPS shipping is so dirt cheap. The last few orders I have placed have missed parts and when I inquired I got no response. This is bad news for the audio co…
I recommend the cheap used PC and a free install of Kodi, take your pick, windows or linux. Leverage SPDIF with an outboard dac and use WASAPI drivers to bypass directsound for bitperfect dac access.
Yes I suppose I should have mentioned budget. I'd like to stay under 700 dollars or so for the pair - helios is off the table at that price. I am wallowing in speakers I just like to constantly try new things.
Ed, I did look at the Apollo MTM, so…
Okay, and there are volume controls somewhere on them. Yeah, I was asking specifically about yours out of ignorance. All of the premade kits online are sold out and I was showing your designs to my son for 'poolside' use.
I'm new to the concept of bluetooth radios so pardon me if this is a dumb question but do all of the designs require that they are plugged in or do some of them have battery power?
Thanks!
John
Thanks Dan that really helps! If I encounter something that fits the size parameters that the P15 or Criton's match up to I'll absolutely inquire, I really appreciate it. Right now I have some kind of weird baffle requirements (8") that I'm t…
All that I saw on their site were flat packs for subwoofers. There were a few kit speakers that were bookshelf speakers but it didn't look like they sold the flat packs separately and their MT kits had respective baffles of 6.5 and 8.5 inches, none…
The RS28A's are the tweeters for the original Bagby Continuum's right? I might have some interest.
Having just built several pairs of speakers I'd be on the lookout for any cab's or flat packs that vaguely meet continuum requirements (give or ta…
Few comments. 1. The Bromo kit is now officially posted on Madisound. 2. I completed mine over the weekend in every way save cosmetics and am enjoying them right now.
I really appreciate the recommendation. They are impressive.
Early impress…
Update: All drivers have arrived. Touching the cone of the woofer did not feel at all l like I expected. When I heard 'ceramic' I assumed there would be a hard brittle shell that I could tap and hear a noise, almost as if the driver was an alumin…
Thank you so much! Watching it now. Some comments on the goat rodeo I've experienced in my Bromo chase:
1. Madisound informed me they would make a kit out of the parts.
2. One week later when I was ready to order I was told upon ordering that th…

I'm watching Javad's video of the 'ceramicos' I'm assuming those are his tower build with similar drivers. I love the look of the ceramic drivers. I contacted Madisound and spoke to Brian, he said I am the second request this week …
BTW, to close the loop I have decided to quit pussy footing around and buy a router and jasper jig. I bought a 8 x 4 sheet of 3/4 inch baltic birch. I don't like being constrained by buying only things that have flat packs...time for me to learn h…
Thanks for the elaboration. So if I choose to proceed with the hivi's I should go straight to the perfectionist crossover. Point taken and $25 in parts is negligible. Much appreciated.
Yes! I assumed you had commission on such things etc. I'm kind of shocked that they would post a kit you designed without permission. NOW it's all make sense right? This entire time I assumed you put it up there and posted the write up and that …
You got it. And I was just letting him know that it looked like the content got clipped at the bottom of page 4 because the last sentence on page 4 doesn't flow into the first one on page 5
My replies are directed to anyone in the forum since most…
The write-up you did on the Zingers that was in PDF format ended up running off the bottom of page 4 for some reason like it got cut off. The last thing on the page was mentioned something regarding Sept 2005...perhaps this was a thread you cut and…
